a few questions about italy?

a few questions about italy?
so i have a plan to move to italy once i'm out of college. my dream is to become a nurse there. i'd most likely work on a us military base and live OUTSIDE of the base. to give you a picture, i would like to live in naples, working at the us naval military hospital. though honestly, working in an italian hospital would be IDEAL. i'm learning italian, as i feel it would be rude to live in italy and not know any of their language (plus, it's utterly beautiful and i love to learn new languages). hmmmm, my parents would like me to marry a military man, but actually, i want to marry an italian man, i guess that's part of the dream, yeah? how do italian men think of american women? i'm not sure how italians view americans, and i would like to know what they think of us... another concern i have been having was about clothes. am i right in saying that italians are very judgmental depending on how you present yourself? i tend to dress very nicely, never showing off too much skin, always matching colours, styles, what have you. i lived in germany for six years (i'm in america now, i am american, though have a bit of italian blood in me), so i understand how annoying us americans can be in other countries, as when i would go into town, i'd always see the americans and wonder why the heck they were so loud and annoying... based on this, i realize that i might be looked down upon, but to be honest i'm very quiet, very respectful, to be honest i'm pretty introverted. i'm smart, but i can come off as very awkward and odd at times, i don't always know how to act around new people. i also have a mouth so vulgar that would make a sailor blush. also, i'm a VERY picky eater, but i do love italian food. i don't know how to cook it (learning this summer), but i have had the real thing. but, i am a vegetarian, so i happen to have a sometimes limited diet... OH! i don't really like soccer (football? haha), but i'm trying to get into it... i guess the overall question is! how would i do over in italy? be truthful, guys. (:

You'll do fine but why would you want to live in Naples? There is an U.S. Army base in Livorno. Look for an opening up there.

Well I'm very pleased to see agirl who love italian culture and wants to move in Italy when many italian people are getting away from it. You see, in Italy we think of americans as the rich ones, with a huge shiny car and a cute house in a little town or a big flat in a busy city. I know that those are all stereotyoes. In addition, as italian man, I can tell you that american women and foreign women are really appreciated by italian men. This is a general consideration that might not be true for some men coming from certain regions. For the food you shouldn't worry because especially in southern region and in the neighbourhood of Neaples, local cuisine is based on fruits and vegetables folllowing the so-called "dieta mediterranea" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mediterranean_diet have a look here :D). Finally, don't care about your vulgar language, italian are surely worse than you but luckily you wouldn't understand their insults, at least for the first times. You don't have to know soccer as an expert but at least how to play it and something about the natinal soccer league "la serie a" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serie_A ) I hope this will help you and I wish you to have fun and fortune here in Italy. I apologize for any mistake I've committed but I haven't been learning english for a long time :D Buona fortuna per il tuo lavoro qui. Ciao :)

Your chances of getting a working visa are just about zero, so forget it
