Just got tested posotive for TB, born outside the USA...now what

Just got tested posotive for TB, born outside the USA...now what?
I just left the health division a couple hours ago, my job required me to get a TB Test and that is was something simple and nothing to worry about. 1 out of 2 isn't bad, considering i was tested POSITIVE. Anyways, i was born in Baghdad, Iraq. My parents and I left the country when i was 3 MONTHS old, we went to Italy for another 6 MONTHS. I have been told that i should have received a BCG shot in Iraq but i argue that i was too young to get it (not sure if I'm right or wrong) Well my main thing is... what happens now? i dont have any symptoms of it and my job is a translator (i go to peoples homes with doctors, nurses, and other medical people) Please help, i know this is not a very straightforward question, anything that helps me understand the complexity of the issue more would be great! Thank you.

If you are indeed positive for TB, the next step is a chest X-ray to be sure that the bacteria is not active and causing damage to your lungs. TB establishes a life-long infection, but ninety percent of people infected with TB never develop any disease over their lifetimes. In these individuals, the bacteria remains alive but is not active. The bacteria reactivates in response to weakened immunity like that seen with AIDS or old age. You should try to find out for sure whether you had the BCG vaccine or if you are indeed infected with TB. If it were me, I would want to know.

It is going to be OK. I live in Canada, one of my friends had a positive tb test and continued to work as a nurse. You are not contagious of TB unless you have active pulmonary infection. If you had that you would be symptomatic with a cough, I am sure whoever conducted the test would have noticed. The next steps will be possible the second tb skin test, then they will do a chest xray and sputum sample. If, after these diagnostic tests, you are found to be colonized with tb, you will be starte on antibiotics for 6-9mos. This will ensure that you are free of the bacteria so it will not be able to become an active infection later in your life. Be aware that the BCG vaccine may provide false positve results, but only for a liminted number of years (10-15 years max). SO if you received this vaccine as an infant and are over 15 years old, the positive result is not related to the vaccine

i don't get why he doesn't want it! Help please

i don't get why he doesn't want it! Help please?
Me and my bf (well now ex) broke up because he is moving to Italy to play for the professional basketball. He knew that we wouldn't ever talk or see each other so he said "i love you too much to put you through that". So we broke up and we have both been miserable ever since. I suggested that i move with him after i graduate because i love him so much and i honestly don't know what i would do without my best friend. we got into an argument about it because he said that i have goals and i can only achieve them here (in USA). he told me the other night that he is the stupidest man in the world because hes choosing basketball over me and i don't get why he said that because he has wanted to be a pro basketball player all his life and it seems like im standing in his way. I want him to go and i am so proud of him i really am but i still want to be with him. he also told me that he would always be my bf and in parenthesis he put best friend. i want to be a nurse so how can i not achieve it there? and he says that i have family and friends and that it would ruin my life. but honestly not being with him would ruin my life. i h8t mostly all of my family and after i graduate im only going to talk to my really close friends so it doesnt matter to me. i doubt its because he wants sex from others cause even he said he would deff miss it. so if he loves me so much why can't he just let me go there with him? please help

You can be a nurse anywhere! In the EU we're crying our for nurses, so you'd get a job really easily. You need to tell him you'd rather be with him over your failmy. And hey - you can always visit home once or twice a year and see them. Either that or he is hiding something from you, and doesn't want you to go to Italy and find out.
2 :
first of all why would he go to italy to play basketball when there are plenty of teams here. Second he is doing his best to make you go away. Have you ever asked yourself why. Things of the heart are not always simple. Good luck

Frankly put, go after this one. To me it sounds like he cares and loves you deeply but has decided to chase his personal dream and goal. He is releasing you from any emotional bond between you two, but knows deep down that this won't fix the issue. You both love each other, have him rethink what is happening to your relationship and let him know that, yes you and he are matched and that you want him to chase his dream but that you will also chase yours. That is you will finish school and follow him. He may be concerned about fans or being away from his home once he gets to where he is going. Then again he might not want any emotional ties because he wants to sink his all into the game. Ask HIM to marry you, if you feel very strongly about it. That is only if you feel that attached. If not, then you probably ready yourself to move on with each others life separately. Good luck.

I have a feeling that his life in Italy has been decided for him by other people...such as coaches, sponsors, and team owners, and you are not part of it. He could have been told that bringing a girlfriend is not part of the program for him. People who are investing time and money in him, do not want him to be influenced by someone, or something that could affect his performance on the court, and end up with him not playing at his best. Instead of telling you how it really is, he's back pedaling with all this nonsense about how it "would hold you back". Time to cut through all the nonsense and excuses, and get him to come to the real point about why he can't, or won't take you.

What to do with another child while I am giving birth ??? Moms to more than one child Please

What to do with another child while I am giving birth ??? Moms to more than one child ??? Please?
Ok long story short My sister is going to Italy for a year for collage .She is a single mother and has a child.(My beautiful Neice Natalee)She asked If we could take care of her while she is gone and we said yes . I am due to deliver in the next 2-3 months and I am wondering what we are going to do with her while I am in the hospital ??Our neighbors are old people and can't even take care of themselves.Could we take her to the hospital with us and like leave her with a nurse or something ??? Our parents (both ) live 1 hour to 1 hour in a half away so they are out of the question ?? I am going to have a Scheduled C-section so It (hopefully )won't take that long . Mom's what did you do with your other child??? She is 4 years old BTW Thanks !

No a nurse wont watch her..... Your husband could stay out of the OR and watch her or your family can come in( Are they not coming in to see the baby?) or hire a sitter...Nurses are not baby sitters they have alot to do with all the babies and stuff being born.... I left my child with family while we went in for our C-section with the twins.
2 :
Well, maybe you could find a teenager, or a friend and have her get to know your niece and than see if they will baby sit for you that day.. You can't leave her with a Nurse, they are working and have patients to take care of..Are your parents not coming up for the birth/? Why not see if they plan on coming up see if they will sit with her in the waiting room
3 :
If you're having a scheduled c-section, the timing is fairly simple. Ask one of the grandparents to come and stay for a few days, with the child in your home, or take her ahead of time to theirs. The nurses cannot be babysitters for you, they have too much other work to do. If asking one of the grandparents is out of the question, then you'll have to pay someone to come and stay with her. Good luck.
4 :
That's the problem I have since we just moved and I do not know anybody around here, plus my parents and my husbands parents are an 8 hour drive away. But since you are having a scheduled c-section, then why can't one of the parents drive there? It seems like it would be kind of easy for them to get there in time since your c-section is planned. Unless of course they have medical conditions, etc, but aren't they going to want to come by and see your new baby anyways?
5 :
??? If you are having a scheduled c-section, have your parents drive over and stay at your house to watch your niece. After all, it is their grandchild too. Why on earth do you think a nurse would watch your child? It is a hospital, not a daycare. You need to find a family member or another sitter to stay at your house or at the hospital with your niece.
6 :
The hospital staff is not obligated to or responsible for watching your children. Do you have any friends or family that can watch her? I'm due in January with my second and we are planning on dropping our daughter at her grandparents house or maybe my SIL's house, since she has 2 little boys who my daughter loves playing with. But she is definitely not coming with us to the hospital, she'll visit after our son is born but we really don't think it's an appropriate place for a 1 and a half year old to be for very long.

how can i make my paper about the movie pearl harbor better

how can i make my paper about the movie pearl harbor better?
The attacks on Pearl Harbor were an American tragedy that most would never have predicted. December 7th, 1941 is a day that most people will not forget. Pearl Harbor was a tragedy that brought about America's involvement in World War II . Many books and movies have been made in hopes that people will know the truth of what really happened on that Sunday morning. However, there are far more historical inaccuracies than real life facts. The movie Pearl Harbor directed by Michael Bay is no exception. There are far more lies and fabrications than actual truths. This movie was certainly made for entertainment only and not to be served as a historical reference. During the 1940’s the great depression in America had just ended. American’s were learning to be cautious; however at the same time, they were optimistic for the future. December 7th, 1941 is a day that Teddy Roosevelt stated "is a date that will live in infamy". Pearl Harbor is on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. It is used as a naval base and is also the headquarters of the U.S. Pacific Fleet. The attack of Pearl Harbor was supposed to be a preventative action to keep the U.S. Pacific Fleet from influencing the war. Early morning December 7th, 1941 the first attack began. Almost 200 planes made up of dive bombers, fighter planes, torpedo bombers, and heavy bombers were sent to attack Pearl Harbor by the Japanese Navy. The second wave consisted of 171 planes. "The Navy and Marine Corps suffered a total of 2,896 casualties of which 2,117 were deaths and 779 were wounded. The army lost 228 and 113 were seriously wounded. At least 57 civilians were killed in the process." The Japanese lost 55 airmen, nine crewmen on their midget submarines and an unknown number on their large submarines. The Japanese carrier task force sailed away undetected. All of this happened in two hours and twenty minutes. Just four days later on December 11th 1941, Italy and Germany declared war on the United States. The movie Pearl Harbor directed by Michael Bay, has won an Oscar, received 10 other awards and 14 nominations. However, it has also been on lists such as "Most historically inaccurate movies of all time." Many people have said that there isn’t even a slight resemblance between the movie and the actual attack on Pearl Harbor. Historians label Pearl Harbor as a joke. The movie Pearl Harbor was released on May 25, 2001. It has an all-star cast of Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale, Cuba Gooding Jr., JonVoight, Alec Baldwin and Tom Sizemore. Ben Affleck plays Rafe McCkawley who is based on a real fighter pilot by the name of Joe Foss who had 32 confirmed kills. Many things that Rafe McCkawley says in this movie is a direct quote from Joe Foss. The movie is more of a romance than anything else. The movie begins with two young boys, Rage and Danny. They are pretending to be pilots when they actually make their plane start to fly. Danny’s dad comes outside and is really angry and starts to hit Danny. Rafe protects Danny and continues to do that throughout the rest of their friendship. Years later Rafe and his best friend Danny both fall in love with the same nurse named Evelyn. When Evelyn believes that Rafe is dead, she starts a relationship with Danny. When Rafe turns out to be alive and he finds out about his love’s new relationship, him and Danny are now enemies. However, when the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor they are forced to fight together again and put their differences aside so they can fight to protect their country. In the end, Danny dies soon after he finds out that he is fathering Evelyn’s baby. With so much emphasis on the love story in this movie, the writers must not have spent as much time on researching historical facts because there are many noticeable mistakes that make you wonder what the writers were actually thinking about when writing a movie about Pearl Harbor. There are many historical inaccuracies in Pearl Harbor. There are several goofs that simply have to do with the year something took place. In one scene in the beginning of the movie you can clearly see a car license plate that says 1943. Also, in the beginning of the movie there is a newsreel from 1940 showing the US fighting in Cologne. This however, did not happen until 1945. One mistake that is really noticeable is right after Evelyn tells Rafe that she is pregnant, the camera zooms out and you can see a microphone in the top right corner. During the attack, it shows the Japanese bombing the hospitals when actually that did not happen. It would have been a waste of Japanese resources for them to bomb the hospitals. Any damage that may have been done to the American Hospitals, were caused by American aircraft shells falling on them. At one point, Franklin D. Roosevelt stands up from his wheelchair which doesn’t seemed to be based on any truth. It was added for dramatic effect. It seems that the writers and creators of this movie didn’t do the it's comparing the movie to the actual event.

your paper is muddled. you need to more clealry define the differences between the movie and the actual event. write one paragraph on the movie and then use facts to show the differences in the next paragraph. your grammatical errors on the other hand, are too many to even mention.

The movie "Pearl Harbor" was so cheesy it is one of the few war movies I have seen that I have never wanted to buy a video of. Take some time and watch the 1968 movie "Tora Tora Tora." You can write an excellent review based on a comparison of the two movies. If you want to work in something about the Doolittle raid, a look at the 1944 movie "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" is worth a viewing. I know the producers were trying to attract female fans with the love story angle. Unfortunately they forgot to do their homework on the history of the raid. I was very disappointed in this movie.

if i was a history teacher i would give you a C first you mixed up Teddy and Franklin FDR said the infamy quote not teddy. FDR did walk many times. (he needed some support though) he actually walked up the gangplank to board the USS Houston. And there are many simple mistakes. You need to research more and give this to someone so they can correct it for you. the depression really ended in the late 30s
