The title of a psychiatric nurse in Italian is: infermiera psichiatrica the system here in Italy is almost identical to that of North America and elsewhere. Good luck on your job search !

I'm pretty sure you can only be trained to be a nurse in the country in which you plan on being a nurse. If you want to be a nurse in Europe, learn the language of the country you want to live in. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't teach someone who only speaks English how to be a nurse in that country.

Nursing schools in Italy

Nursing schools in Italy?
Interested in going to school for nursing in Italy. I have been going to school here in the states, but want to finish my education there. I would like to stay in the Puglia region, but I am open to other localities. I do speak Italian, so that is not my problem, it is finding a school. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Also if you know the steps involved would be helpful. Thanks!:)

you can attend a proper high school, but you'll work only work as an assistant or in community centers. To work as a professional nurse, you'll need a certificate called ipasvi. If you wanna aspire for something better you should consider attending university since it's hard to find a work as nurse..

Is intellectual disability nursing a recognised career and qualification in Italy?
Working as a nurse with people who have intellectual disabilities, such as Down syndrome and cerebral palsy. However this degree does not enable someone to work in a general hospital. I live in Ireland, so would it be simarlar in Italy as it is here???

Yes, it is. I don't know exactly how it works where you live (I actually don't even know where you're from :), so I can't give you a comparison.
