Does anyone know (Nursing school in the US related)

Does anyone know (Nursing school in the US related)?
I'm about to start Nursing School in my country (Italy) and I was wondering, does anyone know (or knows of somebody) if, once you have your degree, you can "transfer" it in the US? You see, living in America is my dream and so is medicine (well... nursing) so i was wondering if this can be a possibility... thanks!

well, do you have any sort of resident status here???? Permesso di sorgiorno? Citizenship papers? anything? Or do you think you can just waltz in and get a job because your degree has been translated? it's a little trickier than all that.

i want to work in italy as a nurse

i want to work in italy as a nurse?
i'm a filipino, 24 years old, a registered nurse currently working here in the philippines. i just like to ask if i can find nursing jobs in italy because i understand i'm a non-EU citizen. however, if this may help, i've been there, five times i think, when i was still in high school and college. i studied italian and finished the beginner level. i'm trying to continue learning the language through the internet and some other sources. i just finished my masters degree in nursing last march. my parents are there that's why i really want to work there as a nurse. what should i do first or how should i start and the processes? where can i find details regarding the qualifications and requirements of italy on nurses educated outside their country? i need your help please... thanks!!!

If you posess a degree - or any extra qualification - then you'll already be in advace of of the masses when it comes to searching for careers. My mate has a degree and he wasn't certain what direction to go with it, but he uncovered some good tips on the resource in the resource box below which aided him to decide that he wanted to be a lab assistant. There is a lot of assistance on the resource regarding extra careers.

Nurses and caregivers can obtain work visas for Italy regardless of immigration quotas. Also obtaining recognition of your nursing degree has become easier. Check the website below, and inquire at the Embassy of Italy in Manila about visa regulations.

From what my relatives in Sicily tell me Phillipino nurses are being recruited to work in Italian hospitals --- especially in northern Italy. You might want to check with a traveling nurse employment agency that has European assignments, the Italian consulate or an international nurse recruitment agency. Hope this helps.
