I’m sorry but there “aint” too many options for an English speaking student. If you don’t speak Italian, you will have to study at one of the few private universities in Italy. Bocconi in Milan only offers business classes. However, many American universities have campuses in Italy where classes are held for credit in American universities. If you just want to study Italian, there are two Italian universities where the language is taught. Those two universities are in Perugia and Siena.

Why do Nurses in Italy make significantly LESS money then US Nurses

Why do Nurses in Italy make significantly LESS money then US Nurses?
when they equally work their tail off.... whats the reason behind this? You would think they'd make more since cost of living in italy is very high.

Can you say socialized medicine? Why do you think so many Canadian Nurses and Docs. come here to work?

I don't know how much a nurse is paid in the US, but remember, when making a comparison, that in the US salaries are reported "before taxes", in Europe usually "after main taxes", including things like pension and healthcare. The "real" salary is so near 30-40% higher. Anyway a nurse in Italy can gain (after taxes, as I said) 1,400 - 1,500 € month minimum wage, including some further benefits.

How difficult would it be to get a job as a registered nurse from italy to the us

How difficult would it be to get a job as a registered nurse from italy to the us?
How difficult would it be to get a job as a registered nurse from the us to the uk? I was wondering how hard would it be to get a job as a RN (registered nurse) in the us for an Italian. Also how much experience is necessary? and what's the starting pay for a RN?

Most foreign nurses end up working as nurses aides when they get to the US because they cannot qualify to take the board exams, or cannot pass them. Some cannot even pass the exams for certified nurses aides! You would need to have your education assessed by a professional who can compare different countries' education systems. You also have to find out how to qualify to take the board exams in the state in which you want to settle (each state is different). You might also need to be a legal permanent resident to take the state boards. That would mean a year or so after you immigrate before you fully qualify and get your state license. It's a nightmare. And do beware "placement services" hiring foreign nurses on employment visas -- these are the ones ending up as non-certified nurses aides at $7/hour because they can't pass the boards and get their licenses. You cannot possibly survive in the US on such low pay.

From what my relatives in Sicily tell me Phillipino nurses are being recruited to work in Italian hospitals --- especially in northern Italy. You might want to check with a traveling nurse employment agency that has European assignments, the Italian consulate or an international nurse recruitment agency. Hope this helps.
