Any advice for a career change

Any advice for a career change?
I've got a diploma in general nursing and used to work as that for some 7 yearsIn 2003 I moved to London from Italy where I live to learn English.I stayed there for 1 year and ever after I just found temporary positions as a receptionist.I don't want to go back into nursing because I didn't like it and I guess I wasn't cut for it. What could I do now? Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Are you having a baby in a private clinic or in a hospital

Are you having a baby in a private clinic or in a hospital ?
I'm italian. In Italy in the hospital they keep you and the newborn for 3 days. They test the baby and they control you. The nurse teach to you how to change diapers and clean the baby. I'd like to know how work in the hospital and in a private clinic in America, because I heard is different.

Here if you have no complications from delivery they may send you home the next day from hospital. Two nights stay would be the max. If you have a the baby at a birthing center you go home with in a few hours. After your both checked and you have rested a little.

Should All Medical Staff be made to wear unforms/shoes only within the hospital to reduce risk of infection

Should All Medical Staff be made to wear unforms/shoes only within the hospital to reduce risk of infection?
I recently spent some time in an Italian Hospital and in a UK National Health and a private hospital. I noticed in Italy that the cleaning was far superior to the UK, but also that all doctors and nurses only wore hospital issue uniforms - tunics and trouses and special shoes inside the hospital at all times. The nurses never wore them outside nor did the doctors visit in their suits and outdoor shoes. Should not such steps be taken here in the UK?

I think this is a brilliant (great) Idea for all Medical Staff including those in the U.S.
