is he suffering from depression?
my fiance broke up with me 4 days ago, he said our arguement during the last few days was only part of it, but also he was fed up of life, himself, me..im starting to think he may be suffering from depression due to being let down by job prospects abroad : refused jobs in qatar 2 times and waiting for job in italy for over 2.5 years. he is a qualified nurse in Tunisia which pays low so he cant afford to save for us to get engaged or married at the moment. he is also working 2 jobs in hospital&airport to save a bit. but i want to know if ppl wud say he sounds like his suffering from depression, if so what shud i do? i sent him a sms 2 b supportive a few mins ago, but im worried he will isolate himself more unless i do more to fix our relationship..plz help. thx

It does sound as though he is depressed, but then who can blame him as you explained his job situation, being turned down all the time from job prospects would bring anyone down. The key signs is when he said that he is fed up with life, himself and you. Depression sufferers often feel fed up with everything in life, and just can't find enjoyment in the things that they used to enjoy in life. You are doing the right thing in being supportive of him, but i would also suggest doing some research so that you can truly understand what he is going through, and so will be able to further support him. Depression can be triggered by a lot of things, but the difference with depression and just "feeling down" is that depression lasts for weeks/months/years, and can be accompanied by lack of motivation, lack of sleep, tiredness, anxiety, lack of self worth ect. If after doing some research you are pretty sure that this is a depression, then he needs to get some help to get through this. Often with men they feel that admitting to being depressed is a sign of weakness, and seeking help further proves this in their mind. So you will have a tough job on your hands in getting him to seek help. an I work in Europe
an I work in Europe?
Here's my deal. I was born in Poland, came to Canada at like 11 so I have a dual citizenship. I want to go back to Europe. I was thinking Italy, Greece or Austria. Maybe something else. I'm not firm on anything. I just want a change of lifestyle. Does my dual citizenship help me at all to be able to work in Europe as a nurse? I have a degree. Where can I get the info on this. Thanks.

Yes, you just buy a one-way plane ticket and when you get to Europe you start looking for a job. Go to London because you speak the language already and could find a job easily, no one will hire you if you don't speak the language. London is a great city, line Toronto and NYC.

Yes, Poland is in the EU so you can work in any EU country without a work permit. For most of them, you just need to find a job and when you have one, you apply for a residence permit which is more of a formality, just so they know that you are staying. That does not however mean that you can work as a nurse. Nurses in most countries are subject to licensing so you would have to google the association of nurses or ministry of health in the country you want to go to and find out what you need to do to get licensed. Number 2 is language barriers. It may not be very easy for you to work if you can't understand the patients but if there is a shortage of nurses in that country, they will probably take you anyway, at least as long as you are licensed to work as a nurse already.
