good day!! i just wanna ask if i can work in italy as a registered nurse...?
i was born in rome italy may 13, 1981, but now im already 26 yrs old and i was not able to return in italy during that time because im studying here in the philippines.. but now i already graduated and working as a nurse here i just want to try my luck if i can go back there and work as a nurse.. also i want to know what are the requirements for me to work there, thank u very much and its a big help if u can answer my questions....

Great thing about being a nurse is that you can take your education world wide. You will just have to apply for a license in Italy. I have a friend who is a travel nurse and works in Sicily and loves it.

I don't know that anyone on this site would be able to give you an informed answer. I think it's best to check with the agency you work for to see if you can get paid maternity leave. My initial guess is that they wouldn't pay. I don't know how things are where you live, but perhaps you could apply for disability benefits through the government for at least the first six weeks after your baby is born. Best wishes!

If you have a proper qualification (recognized in Italy), then yes; there's actually a lack of nurses in the Country (and too many doctors), we are actually forced to look for nurses from abroad.
