What are the procedures and requirements to study in italy?
I am 23 y/o from an asian country, graduate nurse but would like to study again and take up Civil Engineering in Italy. I am working now in an Engineering Company here in Qatar. Can somebody tell me the procedures and requirements I need to do and have? or at least an idea how and where to start. Are there universities that I can enroll while im here in Qatar then apply for a visa for Italy? or I really need to be there first? and if so, what are the rquirements I need to bring there?

do doctors and nurses speak english in the ER's in Italy

do doctors and nurses speak english in the ER's in Italy?
I need to know if they speak english in the hospitals and especially in the emergency rooms in Italy.

No, they will speak Italian, but if you need to speak English, I'm sure they can find someone to translate if the doctors and nurses can not. .

No, ordinarily they speak Italian. However the US or Italian Consulates have names of both English speaking Doctors and Hospitals which can accommodate such patients Hope this helps

Is there a language proficiency test of some sort? A refresher course maybe?

1. Contact your local state nursing board and see if they have any contacts or links for International Nursing in Europe. 2. American Visa to travel there is necessary. 3. Contact travel agency to obtain any visa for working in Italy, they usually can get you a visa applicable along with the travel arrangements and possibly help you locate accommodation's for housing. 4. Google hospitals in Italy and contact them for any job openings or requirements. 5. You might get by without a fluency in Italian, otherwise there are lots of resources at a major bookstore to learn it. Good luck.
